Happy 2011 to Everyone. Cheers to a fresh start, promising year for all of us.
So what were you sportin’ during the Holidays?
Were you the holiday glam girl? The fabulous chic? The rockin’ hottie? Or the sophisticated beauty?
I’m sure every one of you did great and looks awesome during the holidays.
So what was the cherry to the icing in your look? I mean how did you top off your get-up with your hair and make up?
I’ve been sharing many of times to gorgeous people in the planet what I’ve learned for this season – A/W Season look that majorly wins the audience.
For the first (of the three) installment, that “gun-metal” smoky eyes or the new “up in colored smoke” look.
Been practicing and sporting the look since the start of the season and perfected the way it complimented each different eye shapes before the holidays and got more than ten times the question if how did I achieved them. So here you go;
Glitzy and metallic are your two keyword for the look. Colors such as pewter, gold, bronze, gunmetal replaces the regular charcoal black. Putting eye shadow base helps better.
Also, try working on 2 or 3 shades in the same family for a softer and more wearable look, wearable means, looking fabulous while lining up at the grocery counter, or carrying a lot of shopping bags at the mall. Clue: Refer to the color wheel.
Up in Colored Smoke, is the newer and subtler smoky eye, using your favorite holiday. My fave pick to partner to all the colors for the season was midnight blue. Stay away from the panda blues, remember A/W goes for darker colors, set aside your bright, pearlescent or light reflecting colors. ;-) And my fave always, do not forget to apply shimmer on the inner corners of the eyes. To open it up and let that fab fab eyes shadow combination catch everyone’s attention, kohl-draw at your upper waterline and upper your lash growth then finish off with two coats of thickening mascara.
And you are ready for the 3W’s… WOW everyone with the WEARABLE new smoky and WELCOME 2011 looking fabulous.
Always remember the key to a clean finish of smoky eye is capital B… that is Blending!
And color the final color to your last application should always be M...no! Not Mitch… its matte!
Stay Gorgeous the entire 2011
