None. (the candidate replied)

We normally hear this during the last part of the interview. We often missed the chance to ask insightful questions to the company or the interviewer. 

Asking questions during a job interview is actually normal. It gives a lasting good impression. Personally as an HR practitioner, I love candidates who asked questions and not just the interviewer all throughout. It gives us a sense of check of balance of our work, of our company culture and behavior, of our direction.

Here are some guide questions you may take during your job interview and it's okay to print it out and then ask this to your hiring manager. 

1. What is one thing that's key to being successful in this company that somebody from the outside the company wouldn't know?

2. How would you describe the company culture, and if you could change one thing about the culture what would it be?

3. Who are the heroes in this company and what characteristics do they have in common with one another?

4. What are the characteristics of people you have hired in the past, but who have burned out, failed, or left?

5. What's it like working with [ name of hiring manager]?

6. How is success measured in this role?

7. What do you see ahead for the company in the next two years?

8. What is the rhythm of work here? Is it consistent, or are there periods during the year where there are crunch times and we're pulling all nighters? How about the decision - making style of the leadership team.

Please note that note all of these questions may and may not be applicable depending on situation, culture, race of the organization. These are the guiding questions from Robin Guidry that I have tried asking and it worked and as an HR practitioner is proper enough to set your expectation on what you are getting in to and a great chance to make a lasting impression. Plus, it's a two way street, you will be bringing in your talent and experience to the table, you have to make sure it will make you happy, satisfied, stable (not worry), elevate your career growth & experiences and a great emphasis to your mental health.

 

13th Month Pay for 2020 is ready for all!

 

While there was an earlier release sometime in October that the Department of Labor and Employment is allowing businesses to defer or withhold the 13th month pay from the employees, the issue was finally put to an end and has been retracted.

Good news to all employees, your monetary benefit that is of your legal right as working citizen shall be given even at this time of pandemic period.

It Takes a Big-Hearted Man to Love a Broken-Hearted Girl

Some says when your heart and soul gets broken terribly into pieces, you have to let it heal fully.

Yes, I agree. It takes time. 

But how do we know when is the time that the heart has been fully healed?

Only time can tell they say? 

Realistically, what time???

Time heals all wound but actually for the real broken ones, its different

Only true love heals a broken heart.

And when she does find you extra special, you will be asked by her this big question.

Are you scared of me?

And I'm glad to hear your answer that you are not.

So how do we go about this?

Teach her how to love herself once more. 

Let her know her worth and how much you value her. 

Let her embrace what and who she is as a whole. 

Teach her to see herself differently from how she does. 

Let her see what it is you see: the beauty in her brokenness.

Embrace her scars, her pain. See the beauty in it. Embrace and love each and every broken piece of her. Let her heart know of yours as home. Let it find comfort in yours

Don’t judge her. She isn’t perfect. But you will find out that she has the most amazing kind of love to give you because she knows what to do and what has been through.

Take your time with her.  She doesn't even need all the grandiose or fancy things. All she needs to know is that you care. Be more than a stronghold for her heart. Be it’s protector. And never be threatened by her past.

In your embrace, let her feel tiny, but safe. Let her feel more than secure. Let her heart feel secure.

Don’t tell her how much you love her only to break her heart. Don’t light up her world only to leave it cold and dark.

To love a woman at all, is a beautiful thing. Then, to love a woman with a broken heart, a broken soul, or a broken smile is an art and a beauty of its own. It’s in the way that she loves you back, needs you and the way she tells you, or doesn’t, that is so intriguing. You can’t help wanting to love her more. 

Loving someone who is broken is also loving someone who once believed in so many things. Loving someone who's torn between two worlds, meaning, loving someone who knows how to give all her heart and can truly be happy and it shines, because for a second in that moment she forgot she let her guard down, but also knowing she will put her guard back up.

To love a broken heart is like having your own heart being broken a little. To love someone who is broken is to break a little yourself. But if love meant no hurt, no scars and no pain; then what would the point of that love even be? Because there is a beauty about being broken and there is a beauty about loving someone who is broken. You both break a little inside; and that’s what makes you whole.

Those small gestures means a lot to her.

The short calls, the hello's, even to simpliest emojis you send her.

Hold on to her. That is not being unfair to you. 

It takes a big hearted man to do it and realize that.

But it's gonna be worth it.

I can tell you one thing, though, never give up, because that girl will love you more than you could ever imagine and if you leave you'll never get to feel that.

How do you feel about LOVE?

   Falling in love is a great feeling. It is the most rewarding and precious gift one could receive. While some are lucky to may have found it quickly some take the wrong road and get stuck in that pavement and give up, only to find out that the next route is the road to where love is. Some may have found it too but chose to throw it away and some may never get real love that in this lifetime.

Love is a feeling something like you could never imagine how beautiful it is. Like you've been told and showed how beautiful life  was created and the universe is. It is something that means so much to you and the greatest possible feeling you could ever feel. 

Love is the only thing more powerful than violence. Love is the only thing better than hate. Love is beautiful. Love encompasses life.

  I am lucky enough to have been gifted with love. Where it brings out the best in you and the worst in you too. It makes you human. It makes you fragile. It makes you stronger and discover the capability that you can do in life and its purpose. It makes you scared at the same it made you so brave.

There are times we rush on the wrong love. There are times we get manipulated by the wrong ones. There are times we get forced to something that is not real love. There are times we thought it was love but it wasn't. Then there it goes, a beautiful love comes along and knocks on your heart at the most unexpected way.

We've learned that love shouldn't be forced. Love will come when you are actually ready for it. It will just eventually come to the least you expect it. So take your time and love yourself, take time to prepare yourself, take time to make things genuinely beautiful and amazing around you and that where love comes in. Pray. Pray, pray a lot. When you give out a beautiful aura that's where love comes in. 

The meek, gentle, honest and sincere are most rewarded by it. When you are ready it will be amazing. It will be beautiful. The non stop smile in your face and beating of your heart will never stop. And it will be perfect for the love that comes along. Because that love deserves nothing but honesty, your whole self and your attention to it and not your half-hearted soul.

When you see a girl in love, she is blushing, she is wearing the full smile, her eyes are sparkling and she is the most amazing woman you can ever have, she can conquer the world by anything. And when you are lucky to have that woman beside you now, take care of her, nurture her and let her bloom more as she imparts herself to you. You don't choke her. You don't dim her light.  Know that you are lucky, you are blessed and you have that one of a kind woman.

I'll never forget the day I met you. I'll never forget the way you made me feel. I'll never forget that the time when everything was dark and I saw a light in you. You made me look forward to something brighter. You made me believe that sometimes, just when you are about to lose all hope, God sends you someone to remind you that beauty still exists and it can move every nerve and vein in your heart. I'll never forget that the time when I was ready to give up on myself, you gave me something to fight for. You reawakened my faith in people and their kindness. You were like a gift I never thought I'd receive.

I'll never forget the way you made me feel. Even if and if ever we won't meet again, Even if we lose touch and move to different continents I will never forget you. I'll always remember the time I met you as a time of revival. A time of reawakening. A time of healing. I will never forget that you healed me in a very short time.


You are not part of my plan but I didn't know that you will be part of the plan -- of God's plan. It was planned and mapped already as to when to meet you, cross path with you. I always say I wish I have met you earlier or met you first. But that's not the design of life and not the plan. You are perfect. The timing is perfect.


I'll never forget the way you made me feel because, for the first time in a very long time, I felt something real. I felt everything with you after years of feeling nothing.


And for that, I'll always be thankful for you.


Thank you for reminding me that life is still worth living, still magical, still beautiful.


Thank you for reminding me that soft hearts feel each other. Kind eyes recognize each other. And a simple touch from the right person can heal every broken piece of your heart.

Getting to Know You

Single parenthood and/or single mommy-hood by choice or by circumstances

will surely encounter whether we like it or not the question of

WHO IS MY DADDY?

WHERE IS MY DADDY?

or in my part WHO WILL BE MY NEW DADDY?

It sure do struck us that question and oftentimes we would avoid that question or tell our child a different answer.

Unless we are ready to answer that big Q, we can always ensure our child that just because it is only us mom alone who is raising them the love that they get is only half compare to other children who's family is complete with a Mom and Dad.

We, single mom (SM), will double the workload, double the effort and double the fun in creating beautiful memories and tight bonds with our child / children.

That's double the love we get and give as well.

And that's the most rewarding part.

Maybe what we can do best is to try to get to know our child on the level that of who they really are and not on what we expect them to be, to behave, to react or to grow up.

I was advised to try

to learn and observe them closely.

Get to know their wants and needs.

Like my son who is into cars, and I am very bad at these auto department. But I have to learn, I have to study them, so I can converse, relate and at the same time get to my son's level of curiosity, knowledge about cars.

From the type and model to year release even to the current cost price, the motor power and speed.

I am getting there, he still know more than me and at time he is teaching me about cars but hey this "The New Single Mom" (TNSM) is somehow now well-versed about cars compare to before which is zero knowledge. 

Get to know your kids, and never control your kid/s on how they think, how they react, how they should adapt to this new chapter of your lives. Yes they are part of this single life journey as well.

Tell them I am your mommy and at the same time I can be your Daddy and it's gonna be double the fun baby.

Trust me you get the trust, the deep bond and connection with your child if you get to know them more.
