Pick a blush texture that suited for your skin.
POWDER TYPE
This is best for all skin type, but best for oily skin and anyone who wants long-lasting color.
Cherry on the icing: If you have oily skin, apply loose powder before blush. It will soak up any oil and prevent blotchiness.

NARS ORGASM (for fair skin) |
CREAM TYPE
Any one can wear cream blush, but it's particularly suited to dry or older skin because of its rich, moisturizing properties. It doesn't blend as easily onto oily skin.
Cherry on the icing: For an extra burst of color (or added intensity for evening), dust a layer of powder blush on top of cream blush.

LIQUID and GEL FORM
Good for normal to oily smooth skin. Fast-drying gels and liquids are hard to spread onto dry skin. They're waterproof and long-wearing, which makes them ideal for women who go all day without touch-ups; but, by the same token, gels and liquids are dense and can go on too strong. Go easy at first, and add on if you need to.
Cherry on the icing: These blushes blend smoothly onto bare skin. Don't apply them on top of powder; they'll get streaky. To facilitate smooth application, apply moisturizer or primer right before. Wash your hands immediately after blending into cheeks to prevent stains on your fingers.
GEL: Tarte Cheek Stain |
LIQUID: Benefit Benetint Rose |
