CONCEALER 101

Concealing is to keep from being seen or found.

In makeup, concealing is a process to hide imperfections, flaws on the parts of the face or body. There are three basic items you can try when doing the concealing, the middle or ring finger, a wedge-shaped makeup sponge or i suggest the alcone sponge as it does not sift the concealer, and of course the concealer brush, its a nylon - synthetic made, slightly pointed or squared cut type of brush, smaller than your foundation brush

Liquid Concealers

Used mostly for covering under eye circles, simply put three tiny dots of the product on your under eye area, pat with your index finger until the concealer is well blended. Apply a light layer of powder to set the concealer or skip this step entirely if you have extremely dry skin.

Concealer Gone Wrong
Don't apply concealer before the foundation; you'll just wipe it off when you apply foundation. And don't use a shade much lighter than your foundation; that highlights rather than conceals.

Concealing Blemishes
Apply the concealer or masking cosmetic over the blemish using an eye shadow brush or sponge. Blend the edges with the surrounding skin, using a circular motion.

Makeup Artist Tip
Use the residue in the cap of your foundation as the perfect concealer. It's slightly dehydrated, making it just the right thickness to conceal. And of course, it matches your foundation beautifully!
